I've never adopted an animal before so if a cat is free am i still supposed to donate
Sometimes the Humane Society has special events where adoption fees are waived, but they aren't always advertised in advance. Also, cobsider that the adoption fee covers spay/neuter, vaccines, and other costs including a microchip - the chip alobe costs more from a vet rhan the total adoption fee, which helps the shelter to keep running and helping more critters.
Their definitely are cuddly cats but there are adoption fees. Occasionally there are cats that are free but there's usually a reason for it. The older not as wild more cuddly cats will most likely be cheaper.
