Doesn't sound Right.. When you went to path, did you have all of the proper paperworkDo you have children? And did you have an eviction notice from your last place of residence? And they should've explained why they couldn't help you.. I would ask to speak with concerning your situation.. Good Luck
Usually when you're in the shelter system they automatically approve you because you're homeless. With the credentials such as birth certificate social security card proof of income and a residency paper(even from your temporary placement) you should be approved. If not there's important information missing
Why did they deny you? If you go to the public assistance office and you have no income they usually help you. Do you have children? There has to be something missing here. Can't really tell you what do with so little information.
