Is there a long wait period to see Dr. If you have an appointment?

I need to see the Dr. as a new patient. I saw the Dr. was close by and affilated with Einstein and montfiore hospital. My old pcp didn't go to hospital to see pts admitted. My husband passed in 2016. Before that time I was mostly everyday in the hospital with him and when he was home I was home as his caretaker completely. So I never got to my pulmonary Dr. Theodore Casper.. He said to get my medicines that I need for my COPD I need to go to my PCP sent to my Aetna Medicare ppo. I would like to make an appt. with the Dr. and know he can send the meds I need to Aetna. It depends on how busy he is. I am new and it was packed and I waited two hours but, I didn't have an appointment.
