Although it is co-ed, the men and women are separated, and the program does not allow fraternizing. They currently provide jobs at local poultry plants through a staffing agency that works closely with SLA Gainesville. However, other SLA campuses in Georgia, as well as Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, and North & South Carolina provide non-poultry jobs. Guests may also seek their own employment, but are hel to the same financial accountability as those with SLA provided jobs.
