After skin cancer removal was told by doctor not to get stiches wet, yet the wound care instructs me to wash area with soap and water. What should be done??

There should be an on call number to double check the instructions. I know that I received a call back soon after I called them.

Wash do not soak. Then apply small amount of vaseline to keep them moist. That is what I was told and did.
