I want to see the park but I am coming the first weekend in October after most stuff is closed down. So, will I be able to drive around the whole park? Is it worth the drive?

I believe the park gate will still be open, but to be safe call them for an update. Sometimes they close the park early because of tree work, road work or storm damage.

You can drive the Peninsula at any time. People walk the main trails year round.
