hi So ho ,-- Dr. Rodriguez performs anywhere from 1-3 gynecomastia surgeries a month within the past year. The majority of patients do have gland removal as well as extraction of adipose fat. In this situation, the procedure is performed under IV anesthesia and usually takes about 2.5-3 hours. You are asleep during the procedure, but breathing on your own, as opposed to with a ventilator (with General Anesthesia). Dr. Rodriguez uses only Board Certified Anesthesiologists.
