Going to hike a week in Shenandoah Nat park in June to prep for the AT next year. Where should I focus to get the best test for me and my equipment. ?

Shenandoah National Park is actually an easier hike than most of the trail is because it does not have the many ups and downs that the trail will give you. Depending on where you live, you can hike from Lake Front Royal to Harper's Ferry which will take you through the infamous Roller Coaster. That will give you quite a work out and a better feel. In June, your going to meet plenty of thru hikers that will be able to give you advice. Just my two cents. Good luck!
