Hi Richard, It depends what species the turtle is, it could be native or someones escaped pet. If you'd like to send us a photo or bring the turtle by we'd be glad to help! Just be careful as some types certainly can bite.
Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly as they have a lot of bacterial and be sure to be very careful as a bite will cause lots of damage. I would call jungle Bob's but not bring him anywhere until you know so not to stress the turtle until transport is needed. Be sure has plenty of water.
