It's mostly a bird-watching area. The intention is to walk around as quietly as possible to maximize the amount of wildlife you can see 🐦, or otherwise spend some peaceful time listening to Nature, take out your tripod and telephoto lens, etc. That's different than going for a walk with your dog 🐕, which is a more active activity.
