I've never seen a sign indicating dogs aren't allowed. I think if you pick up after them and keep them on the leash it's okay. I've brought my dog there before and seen others with their dogs walking. Hempstead Beach Park does allow leashed dogs on the promenade and paths. If you're in the area, you might want to check it out.
I don't think its prohibited but it's not a huge area. Would be ok for a dog on a leash as long as you dont mind dirty paws. The water is not fenced off and if your dog will chase geese or ducks it's not a good spot for that type of dog as many of those animals are around.
Not really. The paths are short, there's a lot of goose droppings around and the grassy areas are very squishy and muddy. There is no designated area for dogs either.
