Yes, in regular driving and cruise control. This is one of the main reasons we decided on this car. As Annapolis Subaru noted it is called Eyesight and it saved me from hitting 2 deer one early morning at dawn, there is no way I could have reacted as fast as the car did... no damage to my vehicle and didn't hurt the deer. I highly recommend.

Joan, thanks for your question about the Subaru Crosstrek. Subaru Eyesight is standard with the Crosstrek automatic transmission. Eyesight monitors traffic movement, optimizes cruise control and warns you if you sway outside of your lane. This feature offers pre-collision braking to help avoid or reduce frontal impacts by alerting you and applying full braking force in emergency situations. Subaru Eyesight has pre-collision throttle management with helps reduce the power from the engine to help minimize the possible impact force and frontal impact damage. Let us know if you need any further information Joan.
