Miller Stefan, we disagree with your statement however, we also understand it's you're try and spark interest in someone to visit the USMC office. Our question to you would be is it also "useless" to processing for enlistment with any military branch if your enlistment is also not guaranteed until after you are deemed qualified by the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS)? We just so happen to have the opportunity to provide a temporary job reservation for ANYONE processing for enlistment into the Army before they go to MEPS. That way a individual would not only be processing for enlistment into the Army but also for a specific MOS. That is important because different MOS's and training require different requirements medically and morally (ex: Special Forces or airborne). If they become disqualified at MEPS, they get to select another MOS based on what they qualify for options based on factual medical and moral information. Happy hunting!

You are able to pick your job your qualified for, but if you fail something in meps, then you will be disqualified from that job, so to give you something you cant really have unless you go to meps and qualify is useless, try out the other branches next door also and get the information first

Yes you can! You will select your MOS before you even go to MEPS. You will also be given a print out with your temporary reservation for the job. It will also show you the bonus amount if you qualified to receive one and the date you will ship out to Basic Combat Training. Miller Stefan did not answer the specific question correctly and that's ok. Some people just don't understand how our process works. You will select a MOS based on what you qualify for depending on your ASVAB scores. For example if you have a 34 AFQT on your ASVAB you may be offered between 5 MOS's to 30 different MOS's. It's your choice which one you pick. Go to the Marines next door and talk to them. Ask them what jobs you qualify for and if you can have a print out of the job you selected with a ship out date before going to MEPS. Bring it over to the Army office so we can compare. Thank you Jacob for your question!

Depending on your ASVAB score, you'll qualify for certain jobs and you CAN choose between whatever is available. They then reserve a spot for you for a while while you finish the enlistment process

miller stefan | Oct 28, 2019

No, it's all how you do on the asvab and if you qualify for that job, look for the marines office next door and they can tell you all about it
