I called to get information on the army because I heard this station was a very helpful but unfortunately that was not my experience. Once they realized I wasn’t “zoned” to them, I wasn’t worth their time and made it difficult to get information or assistance.

They did not want to lead my niece to enter the army! They made her pay for Uber 70$

Please be at the MEPS building no later then 1:00 pm. Ensure you have your photo ID and do not take any knifes or weapons. It’s a federal building so you will be searched. We hope you enjoy watching your cousin enlist into the Army!
Yes you are! The only service that does! Stop by Monday morning
Yes Ma’am she can! She must qualify for enlistment and have the qualifying line scores on her ASVAB to qualify. We just enlisted someone into the Army Reserves as a 68C Practical Nurse Specialist. There are other options as well like 68W Combat Medical Specialist or 68D Operating Room Specialist. Just call the office number listed and talk to a recruiter to learn more.
No it will not. Speeding ticket fines only need to be paid off in full to continue processing for enlisted. They do not need to be paid off to meet with a recruiter to lean more about the Army. To answer any more specific questions about legal concerns, please contact us directly so it’s not on a public forum.
You are allowed to enlist at 17 years old with the permission of your parents. You are allowed to enlist on your own between the ages of 18 years old to 34 years old without a waiver. Any age over 34 years old requires a waiver. Contact a recruiter at the Arlington Station to find out more.
This office only provides information on the opportunities the United States Army has to offer.
Members of the Army National Guard (ARNG) may be released from their enlistment into the United States Army with the consent of their state governor or other authority of the state. This consent must be recorded on a DD Form 368 (Request for Conditional Release). It's because the state paid for your training. We have never seen it happen from the Texas National Guard so we wish you luck with trying. You may have to wait to enlist into the active duty Army at the end of your contract with the Texas ARNG. The ARNG recruiters tend to tell folks it's easy to switch to active but it is not. I'm sorry.
Hi Ty, You can still join with an approved waiver. Bring the documents by our office, let's check them out.
Great question! All Soldiers get 30 paid vacation days per year. They also receive all federal holidays and sick days off. You should talk to one of our recruiters to learn more.
Good question Cory and Marco is correct. You can join the Army depending on some legal details we need to talk more about! We recommend that we don’t discuss this in more detail in person with a recruiter compared to a public forum due to privacy concerns. Contact the office tomorrow for more details.
You need either a GED or highschool diploma
It’s 800 meters bipod and 1,100 meters on tripod.
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multiple choice test, administered by the United States Military Entrance Processing Command, used to determine qualification for enlistment in the United States Armed Forces. The ASVAB was first introduced in 1968 and was adopted by all branches of the military in 1976.
Hey Monica, this is a really good question. You are still allowed to enlist however, this may effect what MOS’s you qualify for based on the security clearance required. What’s important to know is something of called “parole in place”. I highly recommend you go to USCIS.gov to learn more. It will protect your parents. Call the office for more.
Yes they can. You can enlist into the U.S. Army as either a high school senior currently going through home school or as a home school graduate. Either way the recruiting battalion ESS will have to review the documents and approve it. It’s really easy to get done.
