Bring a unexpired photo id. For kids too. You can use a school id or medical record for them. You also need your original birth certificate.
They open at 9:00am and you go in sign in and they give you a number to wait until called. You should proceed to the South of the building and wait there that portion of the complex is strictly for Social Security cards applicants.
