Need enough walnut and hard maple boards to make a Chess board. Probably a couple 1" x 4" (or 6") x 8' boards. Can you help me?

I was there last week for wood to turn. In building 1 they have shorts that would work for you . A pack of 6 maple 12" boards was $15. It is best to go in person

I can't help you but if you call their company I'm sure they can point you in the right direction. They have a lot of small pieces cut off of other larger ones that could be cut into the sizes you need.
