I just bought a used Chevy 5.3 with moderate miles on it..a little less than 100k..I know usually their motors are used..but they are tested before he sells them to you..& have a warranty attached to them..I'm sure u probably could get a new one from them but not 100% certain..oh btw,..my 5.3 runs damn good!!..
