AWESOME TEAM at Firehouse 19. Patient. Highly Skilled. Calm. Our 10 year old injured his finger playing basketball during school recess. By 8 pm it was purple, and swollen due to a ring he wears on that finger. After packing ice the color returned to normal, while some of the swelling had subsided it was not enough to remove the ring. The following day we stopped by the Fire Academy and they did not stop until they safely removed it. What a first class team! They tried medical tape, ring cutters then finally dental floss tape. Thank you kindly for making us feel so welcome and for such incredible attentive care of our child during this unexpected emergency. I am so proud of our amazing Dallas Fire & Rescue Service. First responders are like frontline soldiers in our midst, they go into action everyday, putting themselves on the line to keep us all safe. It was very fitting that this happened just after Memorial weekend. Thank you for your dedicated service to our community. God Bless Firehouse 19.
