If you love in the city limits, you can get a burn per it from Fire Prevention Office in Aurora...they're 10 bucks. You can only burn untreated firewood in an approved container. NO yard waste!
If you live in the city limits then you have to have a burn permit. It is free, and you can pick up an application at fire prevention beauru downtown Aurora . You have to have an approved fire pit with a cover and there are stipulation on what and when you can burn.. You also can apply and read all the regulations on the cities website. Hope this helps
