We had 2 dogs for many years and always took them to Summit Animal Hospital. Our female dog started wheezing and when they were getting their shots I asked the girl at the desk to tell the doctor to check her out ( this was during Covid when they weren't letting people into the building). We never got a response about the wheezing. It got worse and we took her to Oak Lawn Animal Hospital. The doctor there diagnosed her with congestive heart failure and said she had a very distinct heart murmur which she must have had for years. It's amazing that in 9 years of taking her to Summit we were never told she had a heart murmur. By the time we found out about the CHF it was in the end stages, and our dog passed away a few months later . I give Oak Lawn Animal Hospital a thumbs up and will never go back to Summit!
Dr Peg and Dr Ken are the best! Have been going there forever. They are kind and sympathetic. The groomer Darlene is great. She has been grooming my dog for 15 years. I highly recommend them.
