You can walk north or south to it via the beachfront trails, or east along Wilson.
Montrose bus all the way to the city, then just walk up a few blocks to be INSIDE the beach.
Uber to the lakefront via Montrose is best, unless you live close. Keep in mind, the fencing is buried under the sand until the Park District can get the sand pulled away
