There is a benevolence ministry and needy church members can get assistance.

Hmmm...pray that God touches their heart to give you...coz when I as a tithing member, single mom needed a hand; I had to fill out a ton of paper work, proof of income,medical bills...got denied assistance..I ended up getting evicted. I lost hope in Church, I quit and stopped tithing...I would rather hand my money to someone in need when they ask instead of subjecting them to an interview to decide if they are needy...wwjd. The Bible even says; "But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?"
