Depending upon how far "not very far" is, it may be fine, or maybe not. As others have said, the stadium appears very ADA compliant. Walkers, wheelchairs, scooters should have no issue navigating just about anywhere. But I'm concerned about the distance question. I don't remember anyplace to stop and rest between the parking lot and the seating area. If he's got a walker that he can sit in to rest then there shouldn't be an issue. Otherwise, I'm not sure, it would be a problem if he can't walk from the parking lot to his seat without stopping to rest.
You can use your own wheekchair and uf you have ticket in wheekchair ada space, wheelchair can be placed next to normal stadium seat. Thr ada areas have great vuews of the ballfiekd.
The grounds are very smooth and easy to walk on. There's even an area with table and benches on turf grass under a tent for walking around in. Very wheelchair accessible. Enjoy.
The stadium is handicap compliant and should not be a problem to get around.
