At the Aria recently they had a $150 per night for 3 nights! I asked for an alternative because I travel with debit, not credit. It was a question that prompted a 15 minute wait during consultation($) with management. They settled for $300 lump sum, instead of 3 x $150? Whatever, right? I tried to charge an overpriced pizza and beer to my room since I had a bank hold on that for them anyway? It was declined, cashier screen said CASH ONLY!!! Yes, I did come unglued and will not be back!

Yup, thats pretty much how almost all of those hotel/casinos are. They typically keep a hold of your card number until you check out and they check the room...
