Instead of renting a tractor you may want to try to find somebody locally Where You Are on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace that offers bush hogging services. It would be a lot cheaper than to rent a tractor and do it yourself. I actually have a horse field as well and I hire someone two or three times a year to knock it down and it usually cost me about $100. I have about two and a half acres that they mow for me.
