If I have a 5 month gap in my driving record would I still be able to drive for the company?

Something tell me you already know the answern people dont really ask these kind of questions, but I will answer it anyway it depends on how long ago was the gap. If it recent the no you will not be able to drive for the company, but you can do other positions for the company which pay more the private driver.

What is the reason that you have a 5 month Gap in your driving record if your license isn't suspended DUI or revoked I don't think you'll have a problem it should be something that you can easily explain
