You will be hard pressed to find any insurance that covers implants. Unfortunately most all insurances will not pay for cosmetic surgery, implants are considered cosmetic for some reason. They will probably pay for a crown, bridge, dentures. Your best bet is to call your insurance, inquire about what is and is not covered.
For people with dentures two lower implants are not considered "cosmetic" they are a necessity. The goverment, Medic Aid, pays for the two lower implants. Request a fair hearing get your ducks in a row.
I do not know which line of business you are in and what was told to you, but my suggestion would be to call the Member Services line on your ID card and inquire about your services. You also have a right to file a complaint.
