Is there a local guide that can help us with our trip to centralia?

NO! oh my lord! It's all but abandoned because of an Under ground Mine Fire! The last people there are allowed to be there to live their lives out and don't like being bothered! This place isn't a tourist attraction! Centralia was home to families and it meant something to them. It's a sore spot for many families and people today.

I'm not local there but I went there a few weeks ago. You should definitely go up and down the roads that once had houses standing. You will see four houses that are still inhabited. Try to pass the municipal building as well. Finally, go out to PA 61 (Locust Avenue) If you are facing the municipal building turn right, then walk down PA 61 until you see an arrow pointing left. There should be a little bit of graffiti on it. Hop over the hill, and Congratulations!! You have hit the one and only graffiti highway!! (PA-61 Destroyed). I suggest saving The highway for last. Also if you're coming from New Jersey on 78, a good halfway point stop would be Cabela's.
