I'm from nc and have always wanted to visit the town and get acesse to areas not many see. Is that possible? Will be willing to pay both the city or whomever plus guide. Seeing the old mine entrance will be a must. Thanks in advanced.

Bless your heart! Aint no such thing! Maybe it would be a blessing for you to go to mass, maybe you'll learn something then. It's called an Underground Mine Fire! It's been burning at least since 1962 and nobody is supposed to go in to Centralia as it is! There's a reason why that highway was torn up!

As far as I know the mine is blocked off but and the only way to get into the church is by going to mass
