The biggest reason is that it is one of the closest acme markets to Philadelphia and the savings on softdrinks far out weighs the few minutes extra driving. They can only stock what they have room for and people like me (sorry) drive in to stock up.

Good question. They seem to understock soft drink items and they claim to be at the mercy of the distributors...I often wind up getting a rain check which I use when the item isn't on sale.
Just go to another Acme.
They do the same thing with Cherry Coke Zero.
