Is this person on something? The team members have enough knowledge to answer basic questions based on their experience. If you want a expert talk to a contractor but you may have to pay him.
That's more of a complaint or statement, no question to answer. Most are laborers, not qualified tradesmen. There usually is one knowledgeable person per department, but I too agree that I already know what I want before I get there. It's finding the item that I'm looking for usually that I need help with.
I can't answer because he didn't ask any questions? As a tradesman I already know what I want or need before going to Home Depot. Sometimes there are new and improved items that would help reduce the costs or even change the entire design that I already thought of. It's easier to only utilize the "floor reps" in the store to help me locate the items and/or I just simply use the App. Maybe if I could add value to his/her statement, I would recommend seeking outside advice from a professional, write down a list then check online for prices and availability. So remember: There's no such person as a "Home Depot General Contracting Engineer!" If so, he/she should be earning a six-figure income. That's not happening. Hope this helps?
