This tour goes hand in hand, architecture and history, but probably more architecture. It is about the growth of Chicago. I have taken this tour several times and will take it again.

The Ft. Dearborn is custom made for the Chicago River. The best cruise for History is the 3 p.m. cruise on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (and I am sorry to say is rarely - offer on the Ft. Dearborn). We lend a book to all the customers on the cruise displaying photos from the past with the current view of Chicago you will see as you travel on the Chicago River.

It is more architecture than history but some of both. It was a great tour. I highly reccomend it!

I took this on my first visit to Chicago and absolutely loved it. Docent was very knowledgeable. The views from ship are spectacular. Highky recommend.

You can ask Docent giving tours questions and let them know you are interested in history. They include tremendous historical information on regular tours. Can't go wrong with Chicago Cruise Line.

The architecture tour does both.

The architecture tour is an absolute must. You will not be bored even for a moment. Tour boats go every hour so you have flexibility of time and last 90 min.
