Yes, silver has intrinsic value as a precious metal. Metal prices and premiums fluctuate throughout the day, and we typically pay very close to the current spot price of silver. Also, different types of one-ounce silver coins have different values. We pay more for American Silver Eagles than we pay for generic rounds, and we can pay extra for products from foreign mints, like Canadian Maples or Austrian Philharmonics.
