Farr's carries stepping rings of multiple sizes. That being said, it is not recommended to use a step down ring as your images will be heavily vignetted. It's better to purchase the larger size filter and use a step-up ring so the smaller diameter lenses can share it. Just an FYI!
Call farr' s and ask
Thanks to all of you for your responses. You are correct that step-down rings can be a problem with fixed focal lens. However, I have used a 55-52 step-down ring on zoom lens back in my 35 mm days. I want to do a small amount of B&W photography and I don't want to have to replace my old 55 mm filters. I am retired now and don't have a lot of money. I'll make the 58-55 step-down ring work.
We have step rings. Please look at which size is lens and which is filter. You don't want to step from a 58 lens down to a 55 filter. It might vignette. A 55 lens to a 58 filter is a step "up" which we might have. I'm off today but you call call the store and ask. 8016217666
