Great Doctors, terrible workplace communication. I had crippling Sciatica and had to call to micromanage nurses to make sure progress was getting done. Was waiting for a surgery date, yet received no communication in two weeks, called and asked what's the hang-up, nurses said they needed to know where I would like the surgery to be done, yet didn't bother to call me and find out. I could train monkeys to provide better service and communication.

I would give zero stars if I could, do not go here. The Heart institute at McKay Dee as been an absolute nightmare to deal with. We have been lied to multiple times, been given the run around and treated like we are not worth their time. The staff has forgotten that dealing with heart issues, especially when you do not know what is going on, is terrifying and stressful to patients. Their patients are people with feelings as well are their families. The patients and their loved ones are stressed and scared, so show some empathy. We are not just a number or a name on your screen. Dealing with the staff and the PA Jeff Muhlstein at The Heart institute have been very difficult to deal with. We have given up on McKay and their "professionals" at the Heart Institute, We are switching to IMC, hopefully, the staff there is less stressful to work with and remember their patients are real people and have feelings. Treat your patients as you would want your mom, dad, brother, sister, child, etc to be treated. I reached out to the Office of Patient Experience. That was whole other bad experience in itself. The response was another excuse and then told me to give them more information, I responded to them to read the email that was initially sent, because the excuse that was given did not match the situation described. After that... crickets.

Seriously, why would anyone go there…. You have to sign all kinds of papers. The most ridiculous one is they can share your info with anybody and they are not responsible for what happens to it. So much for your health, financial or personal info being private.

My mother has had 2 surgeries here and each time they were so much later then what was scheduled. We live 3 hours away. They scheduled us for 3:15 in the evening and then didn't take her until 6:30. She has a 2 hour recovery time. This is going to be a long terrible ride home. Really wish they valued our time a little more.

Yes
Visiting hours end at 8pm
Yes, the hospital has a family medicine residency associated with it. It also takes nursing students, medical students, PA's, NP's and undergrad students looking to shadow.

The visitor entrance
If you were born in Utah the Utah Dept of Health is where you go for a copy. However; if born in another state you will have to contact that states Dept of Health for a copy from said state.
No, you have to go through the operator.
I was discharged recently after a surgery and was answered within 5 min most of the time. But a family member can always go talk to someone at the nurses station.
I would not think this is discrimination. Sounds like he is worried about respiratory issues during surgury and recovery.
THEY ARE MISERABLE ATTENDING VERY EVIL, WITHOUT PROFESSIONAL ETHICS, NOR MORAL ETHICS.
There is a ihc porthole at ihc.com
Yes
I really don't know. I think so, but the best way to know it's calling the hospital or in the web page.
I would prepare for paying at least three hundred dollars.
It depends on your insurance, if you have one
It depends on the severity of the issue you're being seen for. Also if there is an ambulance coming in, those patients get seen first
Your mother and father don't like being near eachother? There is a cafeteria downstairs, so if its what I think it is they don't need to be near one another...
A patient? Are you a doctor?
First off you need to quit making slanderous statements yourself or you could get sued. Second contact the patient advocate at McKay Dee to discuss your concerns & have them addressed. Don't post your unfounded BS on Google maps without evidence to back up your statements.
There is a guest house run by the hospital with low rates. You would need to check for availability at the hospital, and it is usually reserved for families from further away.
Ok I kinda thought so ? I have augmeton orang I quit taking it to see it that will help
Call the hospital & get transferred to the lab.
This is a public forum to ask questions to the local community. If you need something specific from the hospital like payment records, you should call them directly or go speak to them at the hospital.
Thank you
I would call the cafeteria. This is a public question and answer form.
Im not sure you may want to call and find out before hand that would save you from dealing with frustration of the hospital rules.
Call the main line and they will transfer you to the room.
Larene this is a public question forum. I suggest calling the hospital or visiting the info desk
