The worst bank ever. The electronic payment system is awful. Payments are deducted from your account and they NEVER go to the correct payee. There are no records of electronic transfer & there are no check numbers for electronic payments and absolutely no way to track that payments were made. Use an other bank for your savings, checking & electronic transfers as this one can not be trusted!

The only saving grace, as others have said, is that customer service is very kind and they at least try to be helpful (main reason I bumped up to 2). If you are going for any loan product, the communication is nonexistent. You have to do the leg work and will constantly have to use up precious time to get any updates whatsoever. Incredibly aggravating. I would suggest weighing alternative options.

*Update/correction…I still can’t say that I’ve been as happy as I was over the past 1 1/2 years with the service I’ve received in the past, but after my one star review, Ms. Gail called me and worked very hard to resolve my issues. I appreciate the effort and going above and beyond to simply be nice and help. I actually made a mistake and did not see a response to my email via the app which she helped me to navigate. She didn’t have to give a personal call and she did! This is the point of being a part of a credit union. I still feel that when I’ve been in town the service hasn’t been a great as it was 5 years ago and the last call I had was upsetting. Still, there is something to be said for trying to make a rectification and that was done. It is only right that I adjust my review after this encounter with Ms. Gail. Maybe HR should use her as an example for customer service training. I keep this account open because my family has banked here for decades and it’s easy for us. So I will not be closing my account because this response has reassured me that simply using PayPal isn’t a better option if we can have this level of service from reps like Ms. Gail. Horrible Customer Service! DO NOT open an account here! They might as well fire everyone there and just use computers because these are the laziest and most unhelpful attendants I’ve ever encountered. Plus the entire time you’re on the phone they tell you to go online and do everything. I clearly called to speak with a human being! Not sure if this is because of the Change from NEFCU but Jovia is horrific. Also watch your account because you will find small fees and money extracted where it shouldn’t have been. Jovia should be ashamed of itself. I’ve had my account with NEFCU since 1999 and I’m disgusted by this Jovia take over. DO NOT start a new account here. I’ll be closing mine!
