Yes. She is correct...
If doing a show ...parking is best at the theater 25bucks but cheeper than being towed
Parking Garage at the Kimmel Center and the surrounding area. Philadelphia is tricky with a 2 hour limit and you have to worry about getting ticketed or towed. You truly need to be a Philadelphia Lawyer to figure out the signs. When in doubt, you're probably wrong. I would say pay for the lot where you are safe to enjoy the time and it's always a great place to walk around and see the area!
there is paid parking , metered parking , a few blocks south you should easily find parking .
If you're lucky enough you can park on the side of the streets surrounding the theater, and it costs you five dollars for a two hour limit. But if you are in a hurry and afraid of being late, the best bet would be driving into the parking garage. It saves you time, worriness (of getting a ticket) and saves you energy.
A few garages right near the theatre
Across the street at the hotel parking lot. Parked there all the time good prices, easy in and out.
There is a parking garage next to or across the street
I tend to park here Juniper & Locust. Its not the best lot for parking. Self parking at the top. Valet throughout the rest. I did valet last time. It was good.
There is a parking garage on Broad St right next to the Bellevue Hotel, same side of street as Merriam. One or two blocks north.
