I was there 2 weeks ago and drinks and food were allowed inside. They only had candy and drinks available for sale. I'm sure outside food is not allowed.
You are downtown Philly either pay the piper or take your chances on finding a steet spot nearby. If there is a really good show then street parking will be limited.
Has the theatre been renovated recently? I was there about 15 yrs ago and the seats were terribly uncomfortable and viewing was obstructed by the person in the seat in front of youyou

That i can't answer you have to call them and found out. I don't work there I'm only there if they need help and short staff.
Storm expected tomorrow afternoon same time as Shen Yun show. Now that Philadelphia schools have been cancelled will the theater cancel this show as well or can we exchange our tickets for another show time?

You should call the theater and ask them for better info
There is a very reasonable public lot on Latimer steeet off of 15th, right behind the Merriam ...actually 2 lots right next to each other. The Kimmel center is usually filled. People arrange years ahead to buy a spot for their season subscriptions. There is also a lot right on Broad st just south of the Meriam Theater
They ask for I.D., kidding but depending on what show/event you are bringing in the child for, it could be an issue. If it is a children's show, you shouldn't have a problem, but it's more of an adult show, you may not be allowed to bring the child in.
