We don't require appointments, but we do require a mask, encourage social distancing, and limit the store to 10 customers at a time. There is a possibility you might be asked to wait outside for a bit if the store is at capacity, but there's no need to set up a time in advance.
There were no restrictions when I was there. Too many people for the amount of space to be able to social distance. Not sure about repairs.
Walk ins have been welcome in my experience. Repairs themselves are on a first come first serve basis.
