GQT = Goodrich Quality Theater GDX = Giant Digital eXperience. This means it is a large auditorium with imax screen and bright, clear picture. All GDX auditoriums also have Dolby ATMOS sound which gives seat shaking sound by having speakers that bounce sound off the ceiling.
It has to do with the sound...like a surround sound, or IMAX experience
