I haven't seen much change. I always thought it was average, at best.
I know they changed the menu somewhat and the prices. Too bad
I think it's mostly due to management. The free pie may be a thing too. I dont ever get the free pie but I still go on sunday mornings sometimes. You're right though I never expect it to be clean.
I think it is because ever since they started giving free pie, the price of the meal has increased to offset the cost of the pies and the quality of the food has declined. Just a thought. I do know that the quality of the food compared to the cost isn't quite worth it. I can get better quality and quantity of food at a lower price at other places.I only go to village inn rarely.
