I agree, the earlier the better. They aren't usually to crowded. So 30 mins prior is usually more than enough time
At least 30 mins before board is usually fine, but times can vary (so the earlier the better). I had a 5:30 board time and came at 4:50 and was more than okay. TSA usually takes around 10-15 mins.
