How many suitcases can I take and can I take it for work and if it goes over 50 lbs.
You can carry anything you want with the exception of a firearm or anything that can easily be translated as a gun, a pocket knife or a nail file, for example. Items like that should be in your checked baggage at the counter. Additionally, you must declare firearms and store them properly (closed boxes, separate ammunition). Liquids in shipments must be 3 oz. or less. Typically airlines have a 50lb standard for your checked luggage. Heavier items are subject to overweight. At the ticketing level, there are scales located in front of airline counters where you can weigh your bags and make any necessary adjustments so that your luggage is the proper weight for travel. Anything else you need to know specifically about what you can and cannot carry; contact the airline you are flying with or TSA.gov online.
