Dusk til dawn. You can even leave your money via honor system if shes not out/available. You wont regret your trip to this plot. We found full specimen Quartz gems within 15 minutes of rock hounding. There are beautiful huge flint pieces laying around with geode structures of quartz and other gems inside, literally just sitting around to be broken to smaller pieces and taken out. Or dig for a few minutes and find your own. Arrowhead heaven as well. Amazing place.
