Cheaper up front, no, you can certainly find cheaper stuff at a big box place. But it will almost certainly be cheaper in the long run. The plants and seeds we've gotten are healthier, the soil is better - we have yet to get something from here that's died on us, whereas plenty of Home Depot or Walmart plants give up the ghost a few weeks in.
Depending upon what you want. If you're looking for plants in little pots-absolutely! If you are looking for trees-no. But I guarantee that they have much better quality and more than any box stores. Totally worth it!
