We were there a couple weeks ago and my wife took our younger boys (9,8,& 3) fishing in their lake while my oldest son and I went deep sea fishing. She didn't see any nor have any problems. My son did hook a turtle there.
I stayed there two months and did not see one aligator. it is a private little lake. There is great fishing there strictly catch and release.
