I doubt you should have to remove the seat. I can see them wanting it cleaned out, but maybe it's a thing with Yukon's.
The technician installing the battery should do all the work. The one that installed mine took out the back seat.
Hi Jose, We appreciate you choosing Green Bean Battery for your hybrid battery solution! Our installer will do all the work (: He will not need any help with dissembling the vehicle prior to, or during the installation. If you could take any personal belongings out in the back-seat trunk area, that would help us out a lot. Have a great day!
Green bean took care of all that for me! Bill was super.
I have nothing but praise for GB. 2 yrs after they sold and installed my new battery, it failed They replaced it <40 hrs later. No paperwork, no mess, they stood behind their warranty. Different cars have the batteries in different places. My suggestion: take out the seat, ask them to replace it when they finish the installment. Fastest ,cleanest, easiest way. GOOD LUCK.
For your Yukon, call your Green Bean rep or if you have been in touch with the tech, just let them know your situation. As long as you don't have a bunch of stuff in the way, they should be able to deal with your seat. Call them. My prius is a 2008, 2nd gen. All that is necessary for my vehicle is to have the back hatch open with nothing to obstruct lifting the panel and going down into the battery. They go through the next level and so forth.
