If you don't mind the rain, there probably won't be crowds. They typically don't close rides for light rain. With that said, I wouldn't go today.
I wouldn't go today... to messy, besides the temp is going to drop.
Go after 4pm on weeknights for a cheaper price and a much more fun experience. Shorter lines and when it gets to be around 8pm, no lines...for 2 hours and you can ride everything! Going during the day, youll be spending most your time standing in lines and maybe get to ride 1 or 2. +$20 for parking
I would not go today neither being due to rain there are a lot more energy at Carowinds when it's a nice day
