Jonathan Roberts is the best! He helped us effectively stage our home and sell it quickly. Then, when we were looking to buy, he patiently showed us every home we were interested in, and even did additional research to help us find the right place. I would highly recommend him!

Jonathan was a pleasure to work with as my family searched for a second home. Doing it for as long as he has, his connections with bankers, appraisers, and contractors made every step of the way seamless. He's honest, hard-working, and a great negotiator and we were extremely pleased with our time with him during the buying process. We always recommend him to friends and we'll be calling back once it comes time to sell.

Jonathan provides the full gamut of services needed for buying, selling, and renting homes and he does so with integrity and professionalism. I've recommended him for years as the best Realtor in Charlotte.

Hello Diane. Thanks for asking. The monthly rent for this updated home is $1395. Feel free to contact me again if there are any other questions or if you are interested in this home.

Based on current trends, is now a good time to buy? Or is it a seller's market? And, how much do those conditions usually affect buying?

My Pop-Pop used to say, "They're not making any more land!" In other words, yes and yes. It's a great time to buy and a great time to sell. No matter the market conditions, it's critical to buy and sell real estate strategically. Jonathan Roberts Realty specializes in guiding buyers and sellers through that process in the Charlotte metro area...so that buyers and sellers can confidently buy smart or sell smart.

How important is market research in determining what price to ask when selling or how much to offer when buying? Also, what do you do to distinguish your brokerage from others in providing this service?

Perched on the back of my Mom and Dad's Jeep Wrangler parked in front of a local A&P grocery store, I placed a sign, "Jon's Silver Queen Corn for Sale." I grew the corn myself. And I think I would sell out the back of the truck in about an hour. I figured out what the big guys were selling it for at Safeway and A&P and Giant and figured my corn was sweeter and...go home with my fishing tackle box full of dollar bills. At 12 years of age, I learned the power of market research. I also learned the value of hard work, offering the best service and tell the truth to my customers (they especially appreciated me letting them know about the occasional worm in the silk since I didn't use pesticides in my corn!). My real estate company is not much different from my corn business -- provide individualized service, the best product and tell the truth.

Please describe some of the things you do to assist homeowners with having a successful listing?

Tell home sellers the truth, like, "I know you've enjoyed this green shag carpet in your living room and it's certainly done a great job for your family and pets over the years, and new hardwood floors will look great in here and make your home more salable!" Real estate isn't rocket science and I'm not a magician. It's just about putting yourself in the buyer's shoes and positioning the home to appeal to the particular buyers purchasing in that particular marketplace. Once the product is prepared and ready for market, then I employ the best marketing team and internet marketing resources available to spread the word and attract buyers through the door. At that point, if the house and property doesn't sell itself to the buyer...it won't sell. Getting a home under contract can be the easy part...getting it closed demands attention to the details and solid negotiation strategies that bring everyone to the closing table. We enjoy assisting homeowners through this successful adventure!
