If you are going into the park during the day you are good but when you are about to leave the park there are going to be people asking you if you want a stamp. The stamp is used so if you want to come back to the park on the same day they will just look at that and let you in.

If you are a gold pass member, no. I only had to rescan my gold pass to back in. I wouldn't leave the parking lot after 5 though.
